So far ...It's BAD ! December 25, 2008 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
I read so many positive reviews that I decided to purchase it. It came as expected the DAY BEFORE XMAS. I immediately opend the package and ran to the tv to play with it. Inserted the wii controoler and ...Nothing ! The connector that is suppose to attach to the wii controller is bent side ways. A faulty unit. I am returning it ASAP and trying again. I will update the review as soon as I have an operational unit to talk about it.
Great addition to shooting games! December 22, 2008 This product is the perfect connection for the Wii. it adds a whole new usage perspective to playing shooters. The Wii Zapper that I have was okay but compared to this it was inferior. This thing allows you to feel like you are actually shooting a gun and provides better control and aim. I would highly recommend buying this product.
Works great, improves hand steadiness, sturdy structure December 20, 2008 Though most reviews are stellar, I have read a few reviews of people who were unhappy. I would like to add that the attention to detail is amazing, even fake screw bumps, slightly textured handle, etc. The gun itself is very light with metal screws to hold the housing together with the remote it is balanced well w/o making the gun itself unnecessarily heavy. br /I've read a few people who said the trigger spring was too tight making rapid fire difficult exhausting after play which kept me from buying it sooner. When you pull the trigger you can see the tab on a plastic slider piece simply slide to trigger the B button well. When you pull the trigger, there is a slight spring feel, it's not overly tight, just tight enough so that the B button isn't stuck being pushed. Everytime I squeezed the trigger, it worked faithfully helped keep my hand steady even in comaprison to using the remote alone. I was able to use it for a little over an hour straight w/o my hand or fingers being tired I was able to shoot quickly, though yes, not quite as fast as the remote alone, but I always felt that way was an unfair advantage as you could shoot faster then a semi or fully automatic by hitting the B fast. Using the wii mote alone is actually an unfair advantage it terms of shots/minute.br /The pass-thru for the nunchucked worked as promised I felt it was a nice tight lock for both the remote the nuchchuck places. br /As a 5' 3" woman, I had no problem with the size of the gun nor pulling the trigger often for an hour straight playing Ghost Squad. Using the A button on top for some action sequences was a little weird, but I realized after I could change the config to use the Z button instead for action. You can also use this in the shooting games of Rayman Raving Rabbids 1, 2 3, Link's Crossbow (I got it used w/o the zapper at gamestop) or any game that uses the B button as a trigger.
Double Tap December 16, 2008 There was a reason why these things used to sell on ebay for $35+ a piece, the Wii Pefect Shot from Nyko is really a must have if you like shooting up zombies or ducks.br /br /The spring action trigger makes it feel a lot more like the arcade, responsive, and really like a well made piece of equipment vs. just a piece of modeled plastic.br /br /To truely enjoy the Perfect Shot experience I highly recommend you buy 2 of these guns, House of the Dead 23, and just go guns blazing John Woo/Chow Yun Fat style. There is no better Wii Gun out on the market yet in terms of comfort, design, and functionality.
Amazing Gun! ...until you accidentally drop it.. December 15, 2008 I purchased two of these guns and I really like them. We just got our Wii and decided to purchase some of the fun attachments that go along with the games. We have Play and these are perfect for the shooting game! My son is almost 3 and it is much easier for him to shoot with the guns, rather than using the wii remote.br /br /Unlike some of these reviews, I do not find that there is a delay when shooting.. br /br /One downfall: These are fragile! My son was trying to pick up after playing and accidentally dropped the empty gun.. needless to say, the orange part flew off! I had to trade guns with him and now have to hold down the top of the remote (by the power button) when playing. Without that small orange piece, when you pull the trigger the tip of the gun pushes forward and eventually the remote and gun separate.
