Don't buy this, buy rechargable AA batteries instead. November 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this for convenience and to save money on batteries. The idea is great, the design and quality are poor. The remotes with the back plate provided do not make a great connection. You have to wiggle the remote in the stand to make the connection solid for charging. To date I have had to replace one rechargeable pack and the other one doesn't hold the charge that well anymore. I've had it for a little over a year and would recommend that you purchase rechargeable AA batteries. You will have less aggravation.
Very handy! November 25, 2008 I was always worried that the charge would run out on my wii remote batteries - but now I have this handy charge station. My remotes are always charged and I can play as much as I want.br /br /It was a little tricky to set up, for some reason my friend could not figure out how to get the new batteries in but I thought it was easy (there's a notch on the battery pack where this little plastic tab inside the battery tray must go).br /br /Taking the remote out of the rubber case every time to charge it gets irritating, but not the fault of the charge station. If you want to keep your remotes charged this is probably the easiest way to go.
Good for a VERY short period of time then the problems set in... November 24, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
For the first few days this product worked just great. Then we noticed a problem with the left charger station. We thought perhaps we were placing the controller on it incorrectly however after some experimentation we learned otherwise. Trying the right charger station we found we were able to easily charge any remote but continued to struggle with the left station.br /br /We ended up calling and emailing the manufacturer. After a week of calling/emailing we've given up. They simply will not return your calls. I've spoken with other's who have purchased the product and I'm hearing similar problems. br /br /I'm sure some people have had a good experience with the product however we've returned it and are purchasing the other one which doesn't require the sleeves to be removed to charge. We'll see if it works better or not. br /br /My family is very disappointed with this company and their refusal to resolve the problem with their product.
SAVES BATTERIES November 23, 2008 While this purchase will be a gift I do already own the Wii charge station and I am very pleased with it as it. It saves on both the expense and disposal of batteries and since I use the remote daily that is a big thing. A single charge lasts all day playing for me. The only drawback that I can see is that the rubber remote protectors need to be removed in order for the remote to charge in the station and the fact that if the remote isn't aligned just so in the charger the charging light won't go on. To do away with this annoyance I have tilted my charger slightly backwards so the remotes rest against it in the proper position easier. Over all I am very pleased with this product. Pleased enough to give it as a gift to compliment a Wii console as a Christmas gift.
Wii charge station November 23, 2008 A must have with the Wii. My son said he was going through a set of AAs every other day before he got this.
