 great xmas gift December 29, 2008
i got this as an xmas gift from my boyfriend and i love it. holding it gets kind of akward and tiring at times, but overall i enjoy it. i have a psp as well, but right now the ds has my attention.

I have played both the original ds and the ds lite. I really enjoyed playing both but truly I enjoy the ds lite more because the stylus is better and the light is better

So I had the old, fat, gray DS. Of course with me being as smooth as I am, I dropped it and the hinge busted. I was going to ship it to Nintendo to get it repaired, but we saw an ad for Gamestop advertising the DS Lite for $89.99 if you traded in your old DS or GBA-SP. Of course I took the offer immediately. Unfortunately I had to pay ten dollars refurbishing because of the broken hinge, but it was a great deal considering my cousin's DS Lite cost $128. It's been two days, and I have to say that I'm very impressed.br /br /PROS:br /Lighter in weightbr /It's PINK!br /I have the stylusbr /All games so far workbr /Brighter screenbr /Easier to push buttonsbr /Long battery lifebr /br /CONS:br /Screens and outside casing smudge easilybr /br /Overall it's a huge improvement for me besides the smudging...guess it'll just have to be cleaned more!

Do not buy this if you have responsibilities and things to do that day. Great console with a great selection of games. Easy to navigate, touch screen is easy to use, even if you use your finger.br /br /I bought this for my 5 year old but it's great for any age!

I had originally not planned on getting a DS/DS lite. I had a Game Boy Advance and did not play it often. I purchased a pink DS for my sister and she fell in love with it. Surprise, she purchased the Cobalt Blue/Black DS Lite for me for Christmas. I am thrilled that she did. The graphics are better and the screen is much brighter than the GBA. I have now purchased several games to include both of the Brain Age games and am very pleased. I won't review the pros and cons, several have already done that. I do like the fact that the DS lite is a little smaller than the original. I may purchase a red one in the future so that my dad can use the Brain Age games. I am only disappointed that it will not play the original Game Boy games as I have several that I enjoyed. I do like that it is backwards compatible with the GBA games. The fact the GBA games stick out just a little is not a nuisance to me.
