Not sure I would purchase this again June 20, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
It's been kind of annoying. So far, I have only unlocked 5 puzzles on the crossword side. The word search is fun, but hard to maneuver thru the words just because of the size of the ds. Lastly, the anagrams are so-so though some of the words they say are real kind of seem flukey. br /The other reviews about the handwriting recognition are spot on. It does do a good job w/that. But if puzzles is your thing, get Professor Layton-that was sooo much fun.
Crosswords DS June 19, 2008 It is fun and the anagram games really make you think. The wordsearch is also really good and so is the crosswords.

I was not so impressed with this suite of Crossword puzzles--most of them are way to simple and it takes forever to get through the medium level before the harder ones are unlocked. I wish Nintendo would allow users to unlock the levels manually, rather than have the game dictate this. br /br /That said, the game title is 'Crossword for Everyone." So don't be dissapointed when you see clues like "The cow jumped over the M___."br /I like that you can set the game to notify you of a wrong answer, but if you like a more challenging crossword puzzle, leave this off. More advanced crossword junkies would probably fare betting purcashing the New York Times edition, which is also avaialable in DS format

Crosswords is a fun game. Makes you think and sure passes the time if you are waiting in a doctors office.
A great educational game for kids (and grown-ups too) June 4, 2008 15 out of 15 found this review helpful
(Updated to 4 stars)br /br /If you like "The New York Times" crossword puzzles, then you are over qualified. This game is not for you. But for the majority of the people, this is a very fun game! (By the way, there is a DS game called "The New York Times Crosswords" if that's what you prefer).br /There are thousands of puzzles different levels of difficulty. br /This is another brilliant game from Nintendo. Very educational. I bought it for my 7 year old and really loves it. br /It is amazing how it can recognize your handwriting whether it is uppercase, lowercase and even longhand. br /br /You can have 4 profiles so 4 people can play at different times. br /There are 3 games to choose from. Crossword puzzle, Word Search and Anagrams. br /br /1) Crossword puzzle has to be the main game of the three. You can start on "easy" or "medium" level. It gets harder as you progress. If you get stuck, there are hints or you can request a letter to fill in a box. Depending how you set the options. br /2) Word search is a little tiny for the eyes but no less as fun. br /3) Anagram is like an electronic "Boggle" game. You have to write as many words you can on a given set of letters. There seems to be something missing here. The only way you can finish this game is to find all the possible words. No hints like the one on crossword puzzle. So, it is likely that you get stuck because somehow there is always a word or 2 that you do not know or can not remember.br /br /The game is played with a the stylus and DS on its side, like a little book. Left-handed option is available.br /br /
