5 out of 5 stars Fun game   December 27, 2008
This is game is fun but then it gets boring. I stopped playing mine but then I started again, that's what I like about this game. You can stop playing it, then start playing it again and it's still fun. The only things I don't like about this game is you only have one house for four players instead of four like the Gamecube Animal Crossing. The other thing is the weeds! I hate the weeds because if you stop playing a ton of weeds grow.

This game (which I bought for my daughter) seems like a pretty nice game. You start out working for a raccoon named Tom Nook in a town of animals, living in a small house. After collecting furniture, buying, selling, and interacting with the animals around you, you can work your way up to living in a mansion, shopping in a mall, and essentially having your whole mortgage paid off.br /br /My opinion? It's OK. It's certainly fun enough, but I suggest playing it in short streaks instead of long stretches. The game isn't made for playing for hours together, as it runs on real-time. This game can't really be completed, either. You just keep living and doing the same things you used to. Which leads me to the point of why I didn't give it 5 stars... well, the game gets repetitive. After a few hours of doing the same things OVER and OVER, you get bored. I took a star off for that. It really subtracts from the fun. I was hoping they could add a few newer features, since it's pretty much like the Gamecube version.br /But overall, it's not bad! 4 stars.

This is one of the WORST games I have ever played for the DS. Don't waste your money like I did. After three hours of mindless tasks and insanely boring interactions with the local denizens of my self-titled town, I realized that the game was NOT going to get any better, and that the thirty bucks I plunked down for a used copy could have been much better spent paying a homeless man to sing sea shanties for half an hour.br /br /DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS NONSENSE!

I really LOVE this game!! It is very addictive and very worthwile.. I even look forward to every morning after 8am to start playing it, because that is when the store opens so I gather fruits and fish to exchange them for bells (money) to pay off debt from Tom Nook, the raccoon who owns the store.. I have 2 roomates now.. I enjoy talking to the other animals.. some of what they say can be pretty funny. I have grown attatched to some of the animals here.. some who moves in,sometimes aren't nice, so I kinda give them a hard time..(he he he) I get a big kick out of when one of the animals talk to one another and you get to eavesdrop and see how they talk to eachother..some are really funny..the emotions are real..I love it when I go fishing and I catch a fish, and any animal is close by, they clap for me.....when they get mad, boy...they do get mad and yell at you. When I first played this game, two animals were mad and both yelled at me.. I almost cried, wondering what happened...then later I have learned that those two animals were just mad at one another and took it out on me...(sigh), Oh yeah...one of my favorite animal name is Bluebear.. she is really cute..and yes, she is blue and little.. she has wanted to move away 3 times now, and I have begged her to stay.. she did!! The weather difference is really cool.. it's wintertime in the game now, and there is actually snow on the ground.. br /br /The only frustrating part of this game is when the animals wanted me to deliver package or letter to other animals.. and they wanting me to send back a message to the original animal, I had to run all over the place to find them...sometimes it takes me a few trips around the city to find them...br /br /The other thing that is neat, is the music.. they change every hour.. and there are at least 3 to 4 different music that I enjoy listening to while I play the game..at those certain hours..br /br /I really hope that someday the creator would develop a Nintendo DS version of Wild World City Folk..(there is already one for NIntendo Wii)
