4 out of 5 stars Great workout and really fun   January 6, 2009
Love this game!! My sons are 7 8 and are hooked. They like the fact that you can run jump on the mat to make your Mii jump on the screen. It will actually cause you to break a sweat trying to manuever through the different challenges. The only drawback is that the mat does take up a bit of room. It is approximately 3 1/2 ft square, but if you have the room, it is well worth it.

5 out of 5 stars Best Wii game!   January 6, 2009
We purchased this game for Christmas. It is so much fun! By far the best Wii game that we have purchased. If they could change anything, it would probably making the mat a little larger. I have a slight build so it was comfortable for me, but two larger people could not comfortably do the teamwork challenges. Overall a great investment.

5 out of 5 stars Great for the entire family   January 6, 2009
When we purchased the Wii, I wanted to make sure the games we chose would require us to be active and be enjoyed by the whole family. We love Outdoor Challenge! The kids really enjoy Mine Cart, Mountain Boarder, and the adults love Jump Rope and Log Leaper. Because there are so many games, 16 in all, we have not had a chance to play them all. We have been very pleased with the game and all that it offers! Well worth the money!!

2 out of 5 stars eh.....just so so   January 6, 2009
I was pretty disappointed with this game. The mat is so sticky that you have to wear socks otherwise the mat sticks to your feet. I bought this for my twin 6 year olds and they have a hard time keeping their feet within the squares causing their mii's to not respond and go slowly, it's very frustrating for the kids. I actually had to look down several times as well to make sure my feet were in the correct area. The games themselves are ok. I think it's a great idea though and maybe older kids would have a better/easier time.

4 out of 5 stars fun for adults too!   January 6, 2009
I got this game for my parents for xmas. They do belong to a gym and both of them try and work out a couple times a week. They're in their late 50's, and recently got the wii last August. They love playing the wii fit -- over thanksgiving I literally watched them play for an entire afternoon. I thought Active Life Outdoor Challenge would be great for them being they wouldn't have to necessarily take turns, they can both use the mat and compete with each other.br /br /One of my concerns was that it wouldn't work well on carpet -- but it worked fine. They have old old carpet that's kinda plushy, and there was absolutely no loss of function on the mat. I also played it with my Dad when we first started it up(I'm in my late 20's) and it was some pretty heavy cardio if you do challenge after challenge(and can be quite painful if you have a hangover from a high school reunion! ouch!) Some of the activities are easy to learn but there are also more 'challenging' ones as you progress. One downside -- my mom would see the demo and automatically say she couldn't do it. We(my dad and I) think it's a lack of being willing to fail at it the first time around, but when she saw all the stepping on particular parts of the mat, she felt discouraged.br /br /So in that respect, we just have to guilt her into trying it so she can have an educated decision on if she likes that particular challenge. br /br /They both did share the mat and try some challenges together, though there was some pushing and shoving and loss of balance because I think the spacing is really intended for kids and teens. But none the less, it is possible for 2 adults to use it at the same time.br /br /All in all, fantastic cardio and work out for people of all ages. Plus, it's a game, so you forget you're technically working out, except when you realize you need gulps and gulps of water to rehydrate from all the sweating.br /
