Dude, It's the N64... if you're even considering buying this, you know what you're getting into.

My favorite system of all time, but here's an honest review. I've had an N64 for over 8 years. My best friend got it for his b-day as well as Goldeneye in 1997. I was obsessed. I got mine in late 1997 and it still works great. I've owned many systems in my day and N64 is definitely one of my faves. The games are Excellent. Some of the best video game series ever started on the N64 (Mario Party, Mario Tennis, etc.) while some continued (Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Star Fox, etc.) Not including some of the greatest games ever (Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mario Kart 64, Super Mario 64, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, etc.) This system is a must have for any gamer. It's the perfect multiplayer system. There are some Pros and Cons, and here they are...br /br /Pros:br /5. Unique game series br /4. Excellent Multiplayer System br /3. Very Durable all around br /2. Unique Controller br /1. Awesome Gamesbr /br /Cons:br / br /4. Not mature enough games...but that's Nintendo for you...deal with it!br /3. You need too many accessories. Although you can get away with just a memory card. (my advice)br /2. Like it's predecessors, you'll eventually have to blow on your games br /1. Control stick gets kinda crappy after lots of usage.br /br /The pros definitely outweigh the cons...if I didn't have an N64 I'd buy one in a heartbeat. My favorite system of all time.

i LOVE the n64 ever since i got it 4 xmas 6 years ago(still works PERFECTLY) even though it wasnt as good as dreamcast it wasbr /2nd best!! i only got 4 games 4 it though, my favorite being sarge's heroes 2. these are my gamesbr /br /br /super mario 64br /br /sarges heroes 2br /br /pokemon puzzle leaguebr /br /mario party 3br /br /PROS- br /-great gamesbr /-very durablebr /-good controllerbr /-incredible graphics for its timebr /br /CONS-br /-need an accessory 4 like EVERYTHING(vibration/rumble pak, expansion pak...)br /-obsolete compared 2 new systemsbr /-out of production(same wit games)br /br /br /but no system is perfect, and even with it's cons, n64 was(and still is) AWESOME

i would recommend this game to all gamers.get the n64 it a killer console!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's better than the ps1 and even the ps2! The games plays much better with extremely low loading time. For example, I own nba live 2000 for both the ps1 and n64. It took only about two seconds to start the game on the n64 and more than 20 seconds to load the same game on the ps1. If you don't have time to waste on those slow loading systems you have to get the n64. It's probably the fastest loading game system we have out there.

I don`t really like the GameCube,too many games made purely for kids,but any T and M rated games that were on it,ROCKED!,think Resi Evil.Anyways I`m hoping the Nintendo Wii will have the content and audience as the N64 did,that way the Wii won`t be excluded from next-gen competition,imo the PlayStation ONLY bet N64 because of the CD media rather than cartridge,if N64 had adopted the Compact Disc,the N64 would have Beaten the hell out of PS1 for many reasons,like better games and better controller,not to mention BETTER graphics and cheaper price.br /I`m no Nintendo fanboy,I just didn`t like the PS1 because its only great games were Resident Evil,Metal Gear Solid,WWF SmackDown! and Tekken.br /br /Anyways about the N64:br /br /Console design:8/10:br /It looks good and alot like Nintendo`s older systems.br /br /Controller design:9/10:br /Very comfortable but also when playing newer games,but its friendly for all games including shooters,the PS1 controller was good but when it came to shooters the N64 and PC thrashed the PS1 because of its controls and better graphics.br /br /Graphics power:9/10:br /Excluding the PC,the N64 had THE best graphics last-gen,they are actually close to that of DreamCasts and PS2`s both current-gen consoles at the moment,but when the PS3 and Wii come out this winter,then next-gen will have started.PS1`s and SEGA Saturns graphics are a big joke,even back in 1999,I thought they sucked.br /br /Reliability:10/10:br /When it was new and current-gen(1996-2001),my N64 never troubled me,it never froze nor lagged and slowed down.It never refused to recognise any game/controller/momory card.Its old and dusted now,but it can still hold up about 2 hours gameplay.br /br /Games:9/10:br /There were great games on the N64,absolutely great!,I had loads of fun,although some such as Load Runner 3D sucked azz.Heres alist of good games on the N64:br /br /007 Goldeneye(Classic FPS,2nd on N64)br /Turok:Dinosaur Hunterbr /Turok 2:Seeds Of Evilbr /Turok 3:Shadow of Oblivion(3rd best FPS)br /Turok:Rage Wars(ONLY for multiplayer)br /Perfect Dark(best FPS on N64)br /007 The World Is Not Enoughbr /Super Mario 64br /DOOM 64br /Mission:Impossiblebr /Zelda:Majoras Maskbr /and many more...........br /br /I rate everygame there except for T:Rage Wars 9/10,they are excellent!br /br /So grab a cheap N64 just for goof multiplayer fun,or even single player if you are not a major gamer(like me,I`m buying a PS3 yet I still play N64)
