Pokemon Fire Red January 9, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
My granddaughter has played this game more than any other since I gave it to her for Christmas. She definitely gives it a thumbs-up.
first game (a great one) December 13, 2006 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
This was my first Pokemon game ever. I love it. Currently I have five badges (I earned the SOULBADGE today.) And, I am in Fucshia City. I am about to try the safari zone.br /br /LT Surge was just too easy! The hardest thing about him was that you had to turn on the switches under the trash cans.br /br /Some things you will probably like about this game are as follows: defeating Team Rocket is kinda cool. As far as I know from my limited Pokemon game experience this is the most detailed Team Rocket destruction game yet. There are also twists when you enter each gym to make it difficult to get to the gym leader. This was probably in previous games, but it is still cool for me.br /br /There are some problems with this game. They are the music - it's kinda annoying when you're on your bike. Also, while in the field the music is classic. The gym leaders do not give you the HM that you would get when you defeated that leader - for example, Koga does not give you surf. br /br /I will finish my review with some reccomendations: Drop the Pokemon that use evolution stones to evolve at day care centers, that way they are a higher level when you use the stone. Finally, train your Pokemon as equally as possible.
This is a Great Game November 30, 2006 This video game really brings back memories of when I first got into Pokemon. The only thing I don't like about this game is that you can't visit the Johto region or the Hoenn Region. The game starts pretty much like the old Red and Blue versions did... you'll go outside, try to go into the grass, when Professor Oak (remember him?) stops you and tells you to come to his laboratory, where you will get to choose your first Pokemon and battle your rival Gary (name sound famillar??) for those of you who haven't played the game before, I won't go into details with this one, you will need to find out for yourself. If you have played the old Red and Blue versions, you pretty much know the story so I won't bother you with details... all you pretty much need to know is that there are more missions to complete than there were in the regular Red and Blue versions, and the graphics are a lot better than before.
GBA Pokemon Leaf Green Version November 16, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
In Pokemon Leaf Green version you can battle the same way from the original american Pokemon RED , BLUE , and Yellow Versions. In the GBC of Pokemon red, blue, and yellow you will start out as a guy, but in the new Pokemon LeafGreen Version/Fire Red you can choose to be a boy or a girl. I think it's time to play as a girl. Even if you are a guy or vice-versa being a boy in the past Pokemon video games made me feel its time to play as a different gender of a Pokemon trainer. Anyway after you reach all 8 KANTO GYM Bades from : BROCK,MISTY,LT. SURGE,ERIKA,KOGA,BLAIME,and GIVONNAI you will battle the Elite 4 and if you win you'll battle your opponent Gary(your rival). Once you pulverise him you can then find the Ruby and Sapphire stones. The Stones will allow you to link up to the Pokemon RUBY and SAPPHIRE stones if you can get them and know how to get them on your own. You can then trade from Pokemon LeafGreen/FireRed to Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald versions. Oh I almost forogt to say you'll need to have or won at least 60 PKMON DATA or more but you'll need to have at least been to the SEVILL ISLAND's 1,2, and 3 to do this. After you done that you'll will face a LEGENDARY POKEMON from the POKEMON GOLD,SLILVER,and CRYSTAL verisons which is Entei , Raikou , or Suicune it depends on who your starter was. If you started out with Bulbasaur you'll encounter Entei, if it was Squirtle you'll face Raikou and if you took Charmander from Prof. Oak it will be Suicune. Enjoy the pokemon game gotta go to class cya later
more Pokemon November 9, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
People just can't get enough of Pokemon. Now, we have another Pokemon video game. br /br /As you battle enemies, Pokemon becomes stronger and learns new abilities. As you become stronger, you can evolve. You'd think this would be a formula that would get old, but apparently not, as many Pokemon games have been released and seen as a successful series. br /br /With that said, those Bug Catchers are pretty annoying. I don't like dealing with them at all. That's the only complaint I can find with this game.
