3 out of 5 stars Eh. An original Mario for the GBA would be much better.   April 8, 2004

Nintendo is taking all their Mario games from the Nintendo, tweaking them ever so little, and then re-packaging them as new, original games. I loved the Mario games when I was a kid (still do!), but all these games are much more difficult on the GBA then the Nintendo. I've beat all the original Mario games, but it was difficult for me to do with the GBA. I wouldn't recommend this game for children, as they may find it too difficult to control.

4 out of 5 stars Super Mario Advance   March 2, 2004
You've played it on the NES, as part of Super Mario All-Stars on Super NES, and maybe some of you have played it when it was Doki Doki Panic on the Famicom Disk System. Now you'll be able to play Super Mario Bros. 2 on the Game Boy Advance!

5 out of 5 stars one small step for nintendo one giant leap for mario   February 19, 2004
This game is entirely different from the original mario bros. but in a good way. This game does not follow the same guide lines as the other mario games. Instead of saving the princess you work with her.Along with other familiar characters such as Luigi and Toad. The bosses are really cool and instead of fighting King Koopa you fight Wart the most devious frog in all the land. The cast of characters are different too. Like instead of koopas [the most common bad guy] there are shy guys. This game also introduces famous characters like bob-bombs and Birdo in 3 different colors. This is a huge leap from other mario games but if I was you I'd buy it this instant.

4 out of 5 stars John's thoughts   December 7, 2003
This game is a nice game...I say it is really fun but not as much as others I have...It is hard when the mouse dude throws grenades at you or when the Cobra tries to bite your head off or when the guy with the keys tries to kill you, but what I really like about it is that you can get more hearts on every level.pPlayability: really easy to learn and really fun. but I only like playing it a few times a day. It gets a little boring sometimes when you keep dying, but it is a good game overall.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty good game , a little better than on the SNES   November 29, 2003
THis was the first game I got for my Game Boy Advance ,actally , my parents bought it with my GBA. It's pretty cool. I downloaded the SNES version on a computer it has 0 heart radishes small amounts of enemies , and less graphiics. This game is kinda hard and easy at the same time. I got stuck on world 7-2 for a couple months. Now there is an extra thing at the end of the game called Yoshi's challenge. You have to beat the whole game over again but master it by getting two Yoshi eggs instead of a full five hearts inthe heart meter. the bosses are kind of easy. The voices are a bit annoying but at first, I didn't notice that. Right now, I have my GBA in my pocket with all my games ( Super Mario Advance , Digimon Battle Spirit , and Pokemon Blue.) in my pocket longing for Sonic Advance 2 and needing some new batteries. So far now , I have 36 Yoshi eggs out of 40. I need the second egg for world 5-1 , the eggs for world 5-3, and the second egg in world 5-3. So I have 30 hatched Yoshi eggs. THe hardest worlds for me to beat are worlds 5-3 , and 7-2. But I haave almost mastered 7-2 right now. I recommend this game for people who are looking for a game to kill some time.
