 Not same as xbox360 - can't download songs or use GH guitar January 6, 2009
My sister has Rockband for the Xbox 360 and my kids liked it. So I bought them it for their WII. I didn't relize it, but there are no songs to download like the xbox360 (you can buy track packs at stores). Plus you can't use the Guitar Hero Guitar with it like you can with the xbox360. Other than that the game is still the same.
A little disappointed January 6, 2009
This is a great family game. The instruments work well with the game that's included. However, the Guitar Hero 3 guitar doesn't work. Also, the drums and guitar don't work with the Guitar Hero World Tour game.
 Rockband for Wii January 3, 2009
I got this for my kids for Christmas. They have had a blast playing it. They are ages 19 to 8. I would recommend this game.
Reason why I bought this: December 31, 2008
The price for the Wii Rockband was fair, but I was more interested in purchasing Rockband 2. Since I didnt have any band equipment, for [...], I bought the original Rockband special edition, and for [...], I bought the RB2 game. This was cheaper than buying the Wii Rockband 2 special edition for [...]. I've also borrowed the Wii Guitar Hero guitar, and it works great with Rockband 2. The songs for RB1 is not as good as RB2. br /br /As a side note, the microphone can be used for PS2 games like Guitar Hero World Tour.
Son Loves Rock Band December 30, 2008
I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my son and he loves it. He can not keep from playing it continuously. I have also purchased the Rock Band 2 dvd and he really enjoys the new music on that one as well. I would recommend purchasing this for any active child. Just be prepared for a lot of noise.
