MUST HAVE GAME January 2, 2009 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game is awesome. It is easy to learn and tough to master. I am not a big gamer but a friend shared with me and I was immediately hooked. I shared with my sister and nephew and they were immediately hooked. Both bought the game the next day. This is a wonderful group or family game since it is so easy to learn.
Addictive fun... December 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I won't rehash a lot of what others have already written, but I will agree that this game is addicting. I bought it for my 9 year old daughter but I find that I'm playing it more than she is. The bright spot is that there is an educational element to it. It may seem like just a mindless "blowing stuff up" game but there is some real physics involved in your decision-making process. I'm fascinated when I watch my little girl figure out that when you hit something in a certain place it can cause a chain reaction. That takes real cognitive thought. The only thing that keeps me from giving it a firm 5 stars (I give it 4 ) is the repetitive nature of the adventure portion of the game. After 4 or 5 puzzles I start to get bored and want to move onto another element of the game. And unless you're sitting within 6 feet and dead center in front of the remote sensor bar, the preciseness of the controller can be frustrating at times. But all in all, Boom Blox should be in every Wii library.
Still Entertaining the entire family December 31, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
It was fun Christmas morning, and we are still blasting blocks away. It's fun and has a nice little tutorial to get you started. Going back and playing levels you've already completed are just as fun the 2nd, and 3rd time etc. as they were the first. This is as "all round" fun of a game you'll find.
This game ROCKS! December 30, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I had put this game on a Wish List for my girls (age 9 6) for Christmas, but little did I know that Mommy Daddy would be the ones totally sucked in! Grandma got it for the girls, they ignored it for 2 days, mommy daddy tried it out, and now the whole family loves it! We like this one even better than the new Raving Rabbids, and if you can compete with a game that you can play with your butt, then you know you've got a hit! And yes, you will get a sore arm if you spend much time in the "throwing" area, but it's well worth it.
Amazing game for kids AND adults! December 18, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This game should be a must have in your Wii game collection. It has become the family fall back game when we all sit down together. It is a blast to play, has stages for all ages, and some pretty hard ones in the Challenge modes you will unlock that my husband and I take turns in 1 player mode to complete due to my frustration. ;) All in all a perfect game. Just be prepared to be a bit sore the day after your first game play.
