Rated "P" for Porn December 26, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
My 13 year old daughter is a huge fan of Warcraft, and when I went looking for a Warcraft experience on the PSP, the guys at the game store recommended God of War for her. I'm used to seeing the Mature rating on games, but this game should have been rated "P" for Porn.br /br /For those parents who haven't been told, there is a scene about 20 minutes into the game where the character has to please two naked women in bed before they can move on to the next stage. I've been a gamer all my life and this is the first interactive porn I've seen in a major title.
What I have been looking for December 17, 2008 Was looking for a game that was very entertaining and visually awesome. This is it! I don't know how people have finished it so quickly and I get mesmerized by the graphics. My hands cramped up a few times playing it. Some of the combinations required fast responses. Guess I am slowing down...:-)br /Definitely for mature users and helps pass the time for sure here in Iraq.br /A must own!
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!! November 12, 2008 This is a must have game, the graphics are awesome, and keep you interested all the time.
The must-have game for PSP October 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this game with the God of War PSP pack, mostly because I wanted the newer PSP and it seemed like a nice perk to get a game with it. After having played it, I can honestly say that this game is probably the only PSP game that you NEED to own. As a fair warning for parents, it is rated "M" for a reason.br /br /Having said that, the "M" rating is what makes the game so great for people like myself. There's nothing more satisfying than ripping the head off a Medusa and pounding your dagger into the eye of a cyclops. I've never played any God of War games before this one, but so far, I am hooked.br /br /Some reviewers have said that it is too short, but for a PSP game, it seems long enough for me. There are some good plot points, but not enough to slow down the gameplay, which is a good thing in this case.br /br /The graphics are amazing and the controls are well-executed. If I had to dock the game for anything, though, it would be that there are a lot of different button combos to keep track of, as is typical of any game in this category. However, if tearing apart bad guys brings a smile to your face, this is a game you need.
I can't feel my fingers. That's normal, right? October 6, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Being a relative newbie to gaming per se, I doubt I can offer a subjective analysis (sic) of the game. I can tell you that I'd ignored pretty much everything and everybody the last 2 weeks I spent in front of the console.br /br /The game play is immersive, the environment rendered is stunning considering the console and the production values rival those of a feature length film. The game hooks you immediately thanks to couple of monsters than make some brilliant appearances; and yet manages to shock and awe at every turn.br /br /The background score and great voice acting set this apart from every other third person shooter/slasher in the genre (I'm looking at you MGS). The physics engine is noteworthy but I'm fairly sure the inherent complexity and superior AI had a lot to do with the game being short.br /br /At the end of the day, the game is rather epic in it's ambition and actually manages to resonate emotionally with the player. Well, at least this player.
