Buy it for the controller... March 21, 2007 If you need an extra controller, then this "package" is a good deal. Otherwise, I think the game is only enjoyable for kids. It basically uses the various games to teach you the various ways to manipulate the remote.
Almost everything I expected March 19, 2007 Well, maybe my hopes were a little too high for Wii Play. I must admit that its biggest appeal is the free Wiimote. However, maybe it's just me, but 9 minigames feel simply not enough...br /There were two main things that I didn't like about this game; one is the inability to play with more than 2 people at the same time (big letdown). And the other was the lack of the option like in Wii Sports, to setup a left-handed player, as I am.br /The minigames themselves are not bad at all. They're a lot of fun but it's not something you can play for hours... in a matter of 40mins to 1 hours, you'll get somewhat bored...br /The main two reasons why I rated with four stars this game are:br /1. The free Wiimote; a $40 value for free... well, that's really good.br /2. In spite of the few games, they're a lot of fun and really well made. My favorite is pool.br /So my recommendation? It's a lot of fun, but you might want to take a look at games like "Wario Ware; Smooth Moves" first.
Buy it for the Wii Remote March 19, 2007 Wii Play is not really a game bundled with a controller.br /br /It's more of a controller bundled with a game.br /br /There are 9 games in Wii Play, some more enjoyable then others.br /br /I personally think that Shooting and Tanks are by far the best mini games in this collection.br /br /Overall, a casual gamer should enjoy it and it is fun for a bit...but it is a very shallow game.br /br /I say you should get it, it's worth it for the controller.
Great value bundled with the wii remote. March 19, 2007 At $50 you're getting the wii remote (MSRP $40) as well as the disc with the Wii Play mini games. The mini games are along the same line as the wii sports and include billiards, air hockey, ping pong, and fishing games along with a few others. For the ten bucks, it's really too good to pass up.
Game = $10 | Wiimote = $39.99 | Wii Play = $49.99... Why did I expect so much from the game? March 18, 2007 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
At first glance, the Wii Play seems extremely appealing as you get a Wii remote AND a game consisting 9 mini games. However, to my disappoint and to many others, the games are just not worth it. I'd sell back my Wii Play with the remote to just get back my money but it's too much of a hassle. br /br /If you want the Wii remote don't buy this. You'll just waste $10 that you can save to buy a good game rather than the 9 mini game junk.
