Gamestop is awesome, it was less than a week to get the bundle. Plus it was like getting a gamecube for the same price as a game. Way to go gamestop

4 out of 5 stars Gamecube is great for kids   December 5, 2005

Our family now has three consoles. We bought the Cube way back in the day for our oldest son. This past summer ('05) I picked up an XBOX for "the family" but mostly me. br /br /I just bought another GC (this bundle) for my youngest son. That should tell you how impressed I am with this little unit.br /br /I picked the GC over the XBox primarily because of the gameplay/Nintendo titles. There's just something about "Mario" and video gaming for kids. The PS2 was out of the question because it seemed to offer nothing that the other two didn't already have, outside of its huge gaming library, most of which, to me, looked to be marginal. For me, the PS2 was never a consideration.br /br /The GC has proved very sturdy. There's no motorized trey to break like with the other consoles, so it's better for kids. The small game discs are easier to handle for small hands. And then there's the great lineup of real, fun, pick up and play video games: Mario, Zelda, Super Smash, Metroid--all first rate titles. br /br /I dunno--my XBOX will hang, jerk, drag, etc, all things I've come to expect from PC gaming--but the GC just seems to work, and work well.br /br /If you have kids, or want a second console, go with the GC.

5 out of 5 stars We Love It! A Family review.   November 26, 2005

This is a great bundle. It includes a second controller, the boxed Mario party 7 game with a microphone (necessary for some of the mini-games). We were looking for a video game system that the family could play together...and this was a great value for us. (We did go out and buy a third controller for our little girl the very next day. It was necessary so that we could all three play at one time.) br /br /The game it's self is a lot of fun. The main game...a Party Cruise...is set up as a board game. You move around the board, collecting coins in hopes of purchasing stars. During play there are also mini-games. They are a lot of fun, and there are SO MANY...wow! There are Orbs that, hopefully, give you advantages...and Bowser shows up to try and ruin your day. br /br /Some of the mini-games are too challenging for our 4 year old to be competative...but she loves giving them a try. We use the practice option quite a bit for her. The board portion of the game, is pretty much the luck of the dice roll. At the end of the game, additional stars are awarded...as a bonus. The awards vary each time you play. This has been a great game for all of us.br /br /As for the choosing the Gamecube over the other types of systems. The one thing I have noticed is that when you go to rent or purchase the games...the Playstation 2 and Xbox have MANY more games on the shelves. I don't know if more is necessarily better...but it is obvious when you have 1 case of games to look at, and the other brands have 3. This has especially been the case when we looked for used games. br /br /All in all, I'd highly recommend this bundle for a family. It's a great value, as the Mario Party 7 game, right now, sells for $50...and the extra controller is $20.

I thought this was fun but to simalar to mario party 6. Though i never played mario party 7 my friend said she played at her friends house and she said it had almost the same thing as mario party 6 but she said it was very fun and enjoyable wall it lasts.but me and my friend played mario party 6 and that was so much fun. i loved it when i got the star which gave me extra points. You might not know what i am talking about unless you played mario party 6.

I expected more out of nintendo. This game is just like mario party 6 except bowser is more obnoxious than ever! You spend a lot more time waiting for it to be your turn which means the game takes a lot more time to play. I am very disappointed with this game.
