br /After reading the reviews I almost didn't buy tiger woods 2009 for my wii for fear putting was as bad so many reviewers described.br / So glad that I went ahead and purchased tw09 because this game ROCKS! Very intuitive play and the putting is straight forward. My first complete round I shot 6 over par and thats been the worst so far. br /I've spent many hours playing against my 7yr old daughter and ALLPLAY allows her to be competive with me.br /br / If you dig on Golfing, and have a wii.... this game is a must have addition.br /br /br /br /

I gave this game as a gift - so I don't own a Wii but I watched the recipient play it was boring to watch and play - he said it was difficult to figure out how to play and the "club" was not accurate to a real golf swing. Meh!
 More Golf fun December 24, 2008
I'm new to golf and golf games. I like the sensitivy on the teebox and fairway. Putting takes additional practice. Nice to have a selection of courses.

1. DENIAL: "This is going to be awesome - like '08, but with online play!"br /br /2. ANGER: "What the hell happened to putting?"br /br /3. BARGAINING: "Oh, the controls are different. Maybe I can figure a way to un-golf the control scheme and dominate like I did on '08."br /br /4. DEPRESSION: "Oh man, this is going to take some time..."br /br /5. ACCEPTANCE: "This is more like real golf."br /br /br /...and to hedge off anticipated 'real golf' comments: the real golf factor is your experience of the game interpretated through the control scheme and interface feedback. All of the control elements eventually become invisible to you as you become immersed in the gameplay. The end result - more realistic golf. It's the product of a team of folks getting a salary to make this game better - we just have to figure out how it all translates to this interface as it evolves.br /br /Otherwise, you can spend 10-30k on a golf sim to go in your basement.br /br /One negative note: I miss the professional feel of the '08 interface. It was really cool. The new interface is a little FRUITY for my taste.
 Putting of Tiger Woods PGA-09 on Wii is broken December 21, 2008

I would agree with many others out there who feel that the putting of the new Tiger Woods PGA-09 Wii game is definitely broken. br /If one has to take a back swing with the putter like hitting the ball with a 9-iron, then there is no relation with the real game and the Wii game anymore.br /Sorry to say that I will shelf this game and keep on playing with the 08 version.
