A lot of fun for adults and kids November 17, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great game. My sons (4 and 6) and I love it. There are many different modes and you can create your own levels. There are competitive and cooperative multiplayer levels, so you have a lot of options.
Fantastic game for the Wii November 10, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have had this game for a few weeks now and it is nothing short of amazing. The fact that the blox and the characters all have different characteristics makes the game fun and challenging. We haven't unlocked all of the levels yet, so there is still more to look forward to. An added bonus is the fact that you can create your own levels using the same blox and characters. My kids have been very creative in creating their own levels. I would highly recommend this game for the Wii.
Although the Wii is not hardcore friendly.. October 25, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
it excels beyond any other console in the puzzle genre. Being a multi-console owner, I hardly turn to my Wii for extensive gaming, but it is very easy to get lost in the addicting game play of Boom Blox. The title conists of a small amount of mechanics, but the puzzles and goals are built to be very challenging. You will find yourself starting a puzzle to pass a small amount of time, and end up playing for a matter hours. The game has a small adventure mode that consist of several different stories with different objectives. There's also a section that consist of straight forward puzzles, and the multiplayer componet is also fun. The only gripe I have is the lack of online multiplayer or co-operative story mode, this game would definetly be the best Wii game I've played if I could face off with other players head-to-head online, and if my wife could join me in the adventure mode. Boom Blox takes full advantage of the Wii's controls and technology and allows the player to decide their method of control, I prefer using a single remote by itself but I could see why someone would want to include the nunchuck to operate the camera easier. The bottom line, if you're looking for a grade A puzzle game or just something to make you actually want to power on your Wii then do not hesitate to pick up Boom Blox today!
Good Time Waste October 21, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
To describe this game I would say it's a cross between Jenga, Duck Hunt, and the baseball knock down carnival games. It's pretty fun to play with friends and family. Just so you know your arm will get sore after about 20 minutes of play because of all the throwing, shooting and pulling you do in this game.br /It's cool that you can make and play levels you create, but the Wii is limited in how much can be on the screen at one time. Even if you don't reach that limit and play the level, the processing power of the Wii is lacking and you will experience slowdown. While this doesn't hurt the overall fun-ness of the game, it can be annoying.br /At the price it is now, it's worth to pick up since you can either play this game for hours or 5 minutes. These kind of games are perfect for those with only a short time to spare.
Tied for best game... October 7, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
...with Mario Kart. These are the two games that I can play with my 8 year-old girls with a great time being had by all.
