A Wii game for everyone May 26, 2008 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
This game looks deceptively simple and grows to be quite addictive. My 65 year old mom gave this to me for my birthday and actually stayed in the room (she hates video games and runs the other way if we are playing) for hours with the rest of the family, watching and offering tips on how to knock down the blocks! This is a fantastic game that really can be enjoyed by the whole family. This game costs less than a tank of gas but sure lasts longer and brings far more enjoyment- we've had a great holiday weekend with it!
Boom Blox is a fun game for EVERYONE! May 25, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Steven Spielberg said he made this game so that he would have a video game that he could play with his kids. This game is a game that a hardcore gamer, a mom, dad, uncle, cousin, etc etc can pick up and have a lot of fun with. There is a great single player mode where you must figure out how to solve puzzels by throwing things at blocks or picking blocks out of a pile. It gets to be very challenging. The multi player is probably one of the top 3 most fun Wii games to play multiplayer. If you have even the SLIGHTEST interest in this game I high reccommend you buy it. Everyone I know who has played it has loved it.
Should have been a $20 game. May 21, 2008 4 out of 19 found this review helpful
This is a simple game with some good play value but it will get old quick and be one of those rarely played ones that end up lost behind your Television.br /br /An okay buy if you're looking for a simple game that a five year old can play but it will not hold much for a teenager or adult. Link's Crossbow Training would be a much better purchase.
Order it from newegg May 20, 2008 2 out of 10 found this review helpful
I ordered this game from amazon and they sat on my order, not even shipping it, for 5 days. I finally realized I could order it from newegg, pay $3 less, and the order I made 5 days later from newegg would even arrive almost a full week sooner than amazon.br /br /The only catch was my order was "preparing to ship" for about 4 days so I could not even cancel it without customer service intervention. If it's preparing to ship, then ship it. What the hell do you need 4 days to ship a single box for?br /br /Great game, but amazon is slipping. I ordered it from newegg and it shipped the same day for free. 3 days later it arrives. This is much better than waiting 2-3 weeks for amazon to get off of their duff.
I thought this was going to be lame... May 20, 2008 4 out of 51 found this review helpful
...and I was right!br /br /Okay, so it's not LAME - but it's not that fun, either. I played for a few hours tonight and it was okay. It wasn't good enough to make me want to buy it (I rented it - wanted to give it a test run before laying down my hot, soft cash). The truth is, even when the price goes down in a few months or years, I still won't buy it. An average game at best.
