 My 5 year old loves this game! December 31, 2008
I originaly purchased this game for myself. It wasn't long before my five year old started to play this game with me. She absolutely loves this game and has been playing it for the last three months on a consistent basis. As her skills develop she unlocks more vehicles and additional tracks. Really keeps her interest. Great purchase!

This is great for our whole family to play together... you need 4 controllers for 4 to play, but worth the purchase. It's hard to watch your corner of the TV, but anytime the whole family can connect this way I'm happy. The competition is not as intense as other games it's just fun to race. My two boys enjoy playing solo its fun to just sit watch someone else play. It's just as easy to play with or without the wheel, if you're on a tight budget, don't bother. But my 6yr old swears by it! Purchasing the wii starting off with Mario Kart was such a great idea for our family... I was looking at the back of my kids ( hubby) heads while they engaged in TV, video games or the computer. Now we all laugh play together!
biggest hit for our new wii December 29, 2008
Our kids received a wii and a few games for Christmas. This has been the big winner, with the most play time and fun for my daughter (9) and son (6). They wish we had a second wheel, though.

Mario Kart Wii is a fantastic game. The game is great for when you have people over and get a little competition going. You can easily get lost in time playing this. As someone who really isn't into video games, this game provides never ending fun for those who are playing and for those that are watching.br /br /TIP: Watch out for after market wheels when buying a second wheel. They lack the see through hole for the IR (which allows you to select items on the menus). You also don't need a wheel to play the game, just hold the controller sideways.br /br /I highly recommend this game and consider it a must have for the Wii.
