A Great Product July 12, 2008 I gave the Guitar Hero III to my niece as a birthday gift. She was thrilled! It was a requested gift,so we just purchased it.
Lots of Time July 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game gives me the mom, a ton of time on my hands to clean with out the kids being every where i am the only disappointing thing is the guitars whammy bar that needs to be recalibrated often. other wise this game is great!
Guitar Hero III for Wii: Awesome!!! July 12, 2008 Very cool game!! I have had a blast playing it. Most of the songs I seen in concerts when I was a teenager. What a blast!!
Niece's Graduation Gift was a HIT!! July 12, 2008 I ordered this for my niece as a gift and she received it quickly and was very happy with it. I should have bought stock in Wii as i've turned all my family members on to it. This was received packaged well and in record time. Thanks so much!!
Who doesn't want to be a rock god? July 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a former clarinet player, I've always secretly wanted a chance to have an admiring crowd scream my name as I rock out on a wicked solo. Good ol' jazz band never gave me that chance, but Guitar Hero 3 definitely has! This game is one of the most fun games I have ever played, and I highly recommend GH3 to anyone, whether they have a musical background or not.br /br /Prosbr /- The song list is fantastic, a great and diverse mix of classic rock and newer rock. br /- Most (if not all) of the songs are fun to play regardless of genre due to the awesome guitar parts. My favorite song to play turned out to be "Stricken" by Disturbed (a metal song), and I am definitely NOT a metal fan...br /- The actual guitar controller is great. Compared to the guitar for Rock Band and the Nyko Frontman controller, the Activision guitar for GH3 is by far the best to play (both the fret buttons and the strum-bar are the most responsive of the three devices).br /- Bonus songs are awesome - I didn't know any of the bands for the bonus tracks, but every single song had an interesting and fun guitar partbr /- A good challenge, even for people who are musically inclined. The jump in difficulty between "medium" and "hard" modes is especially steep - but hey, it wouldn't be as fun if you didn't have to work at it!br /- Great play controls - the video and audio are synchronized very well, and Activision did a great job transcribing guitar parts faithfully. I really did feel like I was actually playing "Cliffs of Dover"...br /- Fun fun fun game to play over and over again...br /br /Consbr /- Graphics are pretty weak. The crowd consists of two or three individual "people" repeated 10x or so to build a crowd of 20-30. I felt like I was back playing "Baseball Stars" on the original Nintendo, where the "crowd" consisted of two repeated "people" performing synchronized movements...br /- Boss battles are not fun at all. At least they let you "give up" and move on after losing three times in a row.br /- No downloadable contentbr /br /Overally, this is one of my favorite video games of all time. I've never gotten tired of playing GH3, and it is a fantastic game to play with friends. Highly recommended for all...
