Wow, just beat this game and it was amazing... beautiful levels, fun gameplay. Simple intuitive controls, the magic is in the level design. Plenty of game here ranging from pretty simple to really hard... per Nintendo tradition there is lots to do and unlock after you beat the game, for those that wish they could keep playing. Really really brilliant and original levels... not much more I can say, this is a must-buy for any Wii owner.

after a game like mario sunshine, people didn't know what to expect. luigi was a ghostbuster and then mario was a janitor. people were hoping that the next mario game would fix the downward groove mario looked like he was heading into. when this game came out, were they dissapointed? ABSOLUTLY NOT! this game's is INCREDIBLE! i haven't experinced such a game in years. br /br /to start, the game is beautiful, some of the best wii graphics ever seen. the gameplay is nice. you go walking around individule planets, each with their own gravity. you can jump between planets and get pulled to the next spere. it's just wicked when you go blasting through space and land on a planet. who doesn't like flying through space and get pulled to a planet by it's gravity. the phisics engine is way ahead of it's time. the suits are cool and can be fun to use, the spring suit controls are hard to get use to, but you get use to it.the best thing about this game is that it's very retro. they use mushrooms to change suits instead of using caps or nozzles. you can even play as luigi. how cool is that? the game is very easy, but that means that you can be just about any age to play. br /br /if you're a mario just an or not, you'll be blown away farther than mario as he travels the stars about how great this next generation classic. if you don't have SMG, you don't have a wii. this game will make anyone's day!
Can't stop playing December 22, 2008
Really fun to play and hours go by and you don't even realize it. If you like other mario games get this one.

This game is fun but once you figure out what you're supposed to do, it's easy. It is different because you can walk on the bottome of planets without turning the view around
Bizarre Fun December 18, 2008
I almost gave it 5 stars, but not quite. That said, it's gotta be one of the most original games out there. How neat to fly (actually, slingshot) to different planets and take on various, very unique challenges. And I mean unique. From being a bumblebee to surfing on sting rays to having to flip switches and avoid being fried at the same time, to having to jump on doodlebugs to having all manner of beasts suddenly pursuing you. It's a game you can go back to over and over again and have a totally different experience each time, whatever you want of a huge menu. There are some galaxies I've yet to unlock, and I've had the game for maybe 2-3 years. It definitely deserves 5 stars for creativity and intricacy, not to mention all of the colors and ... stuff! But you will go back and back and back, because I don't know if it's possible to master this game. Some of the galaxies are mighty difficult. With most Mario games, perseverance will eventually win out. Not so sure with this one. But maybe that's the mark of a great game. It was certainly well thought out. Mighty clever and humorous.
