5 out of 5 stars N64-It's a great thing   June 28, 2006
The N64=the best videogame system on the market at the price! Its controller is awesome! The games......The best ones in the world! The system is so lightweight and so...friendly. This system is a very "fun" system. The only problem I have with it is that for many games you have to stock up on memory paks.

I still give it a 5/5, though. Actually, i give it a 1000000000000000000000000000000000/5

5 out of 5 stars It is Not cool to brag about having a N64 now, Who Cares??   January 23, 2006
I'm 13 (almost 14, little ways to go) and am i boy, Kids at school told me that it isnt cool to have a N64 anymore, cuz they are out-dated and "old" Well I dont care, in the first place I did not buy one to be "cool" I am not going to buy every systen the company's come out with just so I can say i'm "cool" I did buy a GameCube, which I also love (only have 3 games) but I bought it to put my little TV in my bedroom (BUT my N64 gets the big TV in my living room) Anyway, I would have loved to have a Classic Black N64 system with a Grey controller, but couldnt find one, so the color smoke was the closest, and thats a great color.

The N64 is a Great, Classic system that was released in early years for video games, Nintendo has always basically been the #1 video game system in the world, All other names like Playstation and Sega can not compete. The N64's rival for a long time was PS1, Nintendo won. Although PS1 was very popular, but N64 was more popular. But that is not the only reason, Almost all PS1 games were rated T or M, not much for kids, N64 DID NOT. Which made it more popular with kids and early teens. OK, I'm done comparing Nintendo with its compition and am going to talk about the classic N64, which i call it a classic, Because it is.

The N64 is GREAT for many reasons, the system looks real cool, it has a variety of fun and interactive addicting games. Not so bloody and gorey like other video game systems. I got my N64 oh quite a few years ago, I used to always rent a machine from my local video store, I loved it An old friend of mine used to come over with his N64. Not going into all the details, he couldnt come over anymore, and my mom told me she'd get me a N64. Man am i glad she did, I always wanted an N64 since i was a little tyke, but when I got mine, it was going "out of date". I could care less, wanted one, got one. It has GREAT games like...
Paper Mario-Oh, man u need to have this one, fav vid game of all time, completed it, still play it over and over agian.
Wheel of Fortune- if you like gameshows this is a great sim
Rayman 2: The Great Escape- Another great fun game.
Scooby-Doo: kinda childish, but i like it.
Super Mario 64- great real fun and interactive, love Mario games
Tony Hawk Pro Skater- Not into sports, played with a friend who gave it to me, im very good at the game now.
NBA Hangtime- Street ball, but fun to push players down
NBA Jam 2000- Great basketball sim, I dont like sports in real life, but they are kinda fun on video games
NASCAR-Real fun, like NASCAR
Gran Prix- A real fun racing game
Mario Tennis- *whew* very fun and addictive, interactive love it!

Thats the games I have there are so many great games for the N64!
And the great thing is is that they are cartridges, unlike the PS2 and other game systems that are disks, N64 wont scratch!! Great, especially for kids who just grab any old place. The graphics are great, but graphics dont make the game, storylines and addictiveness do. don't buy video game systems to be cool! I suggests to get the N64!!!!! No matter if it is your first system or a second one, You WON'T be disappointed!! You cant buy N64 games in very many stores, but you can on the internet for 3-6 bucks.
I love Nintendo!!!!!!!!! I love the N64!!!!!!! I'll have it probably 30-40 years to come, play it and say, "Those were the days"
N64 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Nintendo 64 Is Great!   July 30, 2005
The nintendo 64 system was the last cartrage based system, And the Best! The games are very real. And It has a great selection.
If you are out to buy a low priced system then buy this one. I also suggest the games "Star Wars Episode One Racer" and "Mario Cart 64" those are some of the best! So, Buy This System!

5 out of 5 stars The Mid 90s XBOX - Goodbye old friend   February 18, 2005

For those who remember this console.
- Quicker loading times than the PS1.
- A 64bit graphics pipeline.
- The funky controller.

Games:
- Banjo Kazooie(Best game)
- Turok (Best graphics)
- Extreme G (Fastest game)
- Goldeneye (Best Multiplayer)
- Blast Corps (Best puzzle game)
- Pro Evolution Football (Best sports game)

If you have never heard about these games go read about them and you will see why this console was important for games development. For everyone who had, what is a Silicion Graphics (SGI computer) games box, in 1997, 1998, 1999 running 64 bit graphics, then you know how good it was and how it is the games on this thing that made the PS2 all the more possible. Some of these games are now leading developers today.

The only drawback was no cut scenes and nothing really long because the game was on a catridge. Still this box was 64 bit graphics and you got that.

Even though it gathers dust now, it is still a classic and integrel part of gaming evolution.

5 out of 5 stars Nintendo 64- a Mom's dream!   October 22, 2004

My son is five years old. He, of course, wants to be just like a 'big kid'. So I was faced with any choices when it came to gaming systems. But, I decided on the Nintendo 64. The games are inexpensive and durable. This is a real plus with younger children. (No scratched/broken CD's) I picked up the Nintendo 64 console for $19.95. The price was excellent!! In my area, the selection of games for this sytem is pretty good. (At Game Exchange.) Also, the Ninetendo is in my son's favorite color- green. One added bonus- Dad remembers the games and can play along. This makes for some nice, quiet Mom time. I recommend this to anyone looking for inexpensive entertainment for kids.

Nintendo Wii Games. The best place to purchase Nintendo games and accessories.
