Product Description When a comet almost collides with Earth, a posse of bizarre turkeys and evil aliens lands in South Park, and the four foul-mouthed grade-schoolers are, of course, going to have to rescue everyone. Switch back and forth between the characters with the touch of a button, as you use yellow snowballs, sponge-dart guns, toilet plungers, and more to squelch the strange attack and restore peace to the sleepy mountain town. With lots of levels and difficult bosses, the game's obvious strength is its creativity the enemies are all hysterical, and the game ends up being as funny as the show itself. Based on the hit cartoon, SOUTH PARK actually uses custom speech from stars Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and Isaac Hayes to keep the faithful masses happy, and adds a creative storyline that falls right in line with what you'd expect from the show. The 3D animation is a definite update on the cartoon, but the animation is so good, you won't even blink at the difference. If haven't used a bazooka that shoots out cows in a videogame before, you haven't played SOUTH PARK.
Editorial Review The South Park phenomenon leaps from the tube to the Nintendo 64 in this hilarious adult-themed game inspired by the hit TV series. A comet's close call with earth has unleashed a bizarre assortment of mutant turkeys and aliens on the mountain town, and naturally it's up to the kids to save the day. While you switch between the show's four main characters with the tap of a button, the kids battle the baddies on the outskirts of town using an arsenal of weapons ranging from snowballs (including the yellow variety) and sponge dart guns to toilet plungers and cow-firing bazookas. Though South Park fans will love the 3-D translation of the show's signature flat animation style and original voices, hardcore gamers may tire of the single player mode's somewhat repetitive levels and overall lack of intensity. But for those seeking a playfully entertaining romp through South Park's ever-wintry world, this game delivers the fun. We spent the majority of our testing time playing in the multiplayer mode, a fast-paced free-for-all that kept us laughing into the wee hours of night. --Eric Twelker Pros: - All of the TV show's twisted humor without commercial breaks
- Fast-paced multiplayer gameplay
- Inventive weapons
Cons: - Repetitive speech
- Less intense first-person gameplay may disappoint hardcore shoot-em-up fans

Not a bad game by any means, and certainly much more entertaining if you're a South Park fan. March 30, 2008 I can understand why some people would rate this game low, but I think I may have developed a soft spot for it. I grew up with the N64, sot his game brings back some nostalgia, and I'm a huge fan of the South park television series.
The graphics are surprisingly good for a licensed game from the N64 era. It represents the art style of the series pretty well and has good draw distance. The load times are extremely fast, and I never experienced a frame rate hiccup or anything like that. Overall the game just runs very smooth.
The soundtrack is actually really good. It has the South Park theme we all know and love, and the voices of the characters are all the same ones form the show. Matt and Trey actually contributed to the dialogue and made all new sound bits and such for this game. The great sound work they did with this game makes it seem like an extra long episode that you participate in.
The game play is very solid. At first the controls seemed strange to me, but that could possibly be because I haven't played a shooter on my N64 for a long time. Once I got used to the controls everything worked great. The level design is pretty good, but nothing amazing. It does what its supposed to, you get through the level, and its believable that it may have been included in a South Park episode.
Overall the game is fun, plain and simple. Its not an artistic masterpiece or anything of that nature, its just fun to play. Sure its not perfect, but I enjoyed it, and if you're a South Park fan and have an N64 that still work, you may like it too. Give it a look.
Great show for an average game..just...average November 18, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This N64 title was exclusive for N64 at one point but that doesn't really matter. South Park 64 looked really promising at first and it truly was with it's shocking yet really great graphics some what game play. And I was looking forward to one of the things South Park is best at. Stupid Funny plot. It kina had one but ends up failing AND I LOVE SOUTH PARK IT'S ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS OUT THERE. But for a game it's just..AVERAGE. Nothing new just run and gun but I liked the whole senario stories like the visitors and the Turkey episodes. Those were great. The game starts off really well as you battle your way through vicious Turkeys but once you beat the Turkey boss it just drags on with the same ol run n' gun and then fight the boss with nothing New. It's just the same ol' same ol.
Graphics are really good and one of the best on the N64. It really shows what the N64 can do. One of the best parts are the bosses cause there 3d animation is sooooo good. But that is just it...Graphics... Now lets get to the problem
Gameplay gets really boring after awhile. Really...It's just the same ol same ol but the game is great for Die Hard SouthPark Fans. I thought the game could have bin better but hey It wasn't But They still try to do a good job. But still...Gameplay is just a lil boring..
Sound is perfect...Trey Parker and Matt Stone do a great job as teh voices of those crazy boys. Sound is great ok!
Pros Graphics Sound Voices Cons Gameplay is just way to boring and a bit tedious Seems like playing the first Episode over again The ending is sooo crappy I was really expecting something big and cool but just same lame ending...Then again it's just a game based on a show but seriously.
Over all I give it ....a
3.2 out of 5 stars

This is what friends are for February 3, 2004 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Only buy this is you are a hardcore south park fan, like video games a lot, or have a magnitude of friends to play this game with and the code BIRDBOY or something like that. That is the real purpose of the game (multiplayer mode). Otherwise this game would have tanked like the virtuaboy did.
