4 out of 5 stars its frustraiting and hard but a bit fun   January 4, 2004

This game was fun for a little while then it got boring. this game is very long and it's a password game. There are some very hard and frustrating levels but some levels are quite fun. The driving levels are very frustrating and the flying levels are horribly difficult. The enjoyable thing about this game is that you can use batarangs and smoke bombs and your batarangs can also be used to grab onto things and pull you up. I'd give it about 65%. I'd rent it before you buy it.

3 out of 5 stars Nice look. Frustrating gameplay.   June 6, 2002

Being a long-time fan of both Batman and side-scrolling games, I thought that it would obvious that I'd enjoy this game. The slideshow style visuals, used to tell the story, are beautiful. The actual in-game graphics are nice too, but the game elements could have been designed to be a bit bigger. On certain stages, enemies and other hazzards can be difficult to see.pThe most frustrating aspect of this game, however is the way Batman reacts to his environment. The edge detection seems to be off slightly, causing Batman to plummet to his death more often than he should. This wouldn't bother me so much if the gameplay didn't rely so heavily on planning precice jumps from platform to platform, all while avoiding enemies and other hazards.pIf you think you are the kind of person who can look past the wacky environment physics, the game is fairly rewarding. I just wish the developers took some clues from other games that got it right.

5 out of 5 stars The Bat is Back in Black!!!   March 28, 2002

I got this game for my birthday, and I started plaqying it with my new Gameboy Advance. I have to tell you, I thought it was better than any hand-held game ever created! You play as Batman in the side-scroller stages, but in some levels, you are Batgirl and Robin in the Batwing, Robin (in some of the Mr. Freeze levels), and Batman in the Batmobile. If you are a mom or dad who has a child who likes Batman, definately get him/her this game!

4 out of 5 stars Batarang Throwing Fun   January 7, 2002

I like the idea of the game, it is enjoyable. They got the premise right for the GBA and made it mostly a side-scrolling type of game which is what you need when you only have a 2 inch screen. I like all of that. I was really getting into the game until I got to the part where I am driving the batmobile through the streets and then I never make it through in the time limit provided. Getting a little frustrated with that part of the game. Otherwise it is fun and enjoyable. The skills don't take long to master and you get to kick some bad guy butt which apparently is something I like to do since I loved Jackie Chan Adventures so much for the same reason (Jackie gets 5 stars). You should enjoy this game - it is a lot of fun. If you get through the batmobile stage - can you give me some pointers??pI am Batman. No wait - I'm Robin. No wait...

4 out of 5 stars Adventure and action game   December 30, 2001

This game is great for kids who like superheros and fighting with your fists and weapons and gadgets that can help you in jams. It keeps you from putting it down because of the superb graphics and the levels are so exciting. The batmobile levels are keeping it from a five star because you can't really see whats in front of you so that you can dodge holes and cars. I am 13 yrs. old and its a bit cheesy for my age but the younger ages 8-11 will love it.
