Product Description
The nefarious Mysterio has a mind-warping hold on the City of New York, and it's up to Spidey to stop him before he takes over the entire city! Control the web-slinging superhero through level after level of fast-paced action and deadly obstacles, trying to halt Mysterio's bevy of perilous illusions. Needless to say, your adversary will come at you with all sorts of henchmen, gadgetry, and original weapons, so don't be afraid to use those webs when the going gets tough. You'll have four unique spider suits to choose from, and all of the action takes place in beautifully rendered 2D. The characters, however, appear in 3D, giving the game a texture and feel all its own. The story is lifted straight from the pages of the popular Marvel Comic, so you can be sure there will be plenty of plot twists to keep avid fans and die-hard gamers glued to the gameplay. All that, and you can even save your progress with the use of a password.

Amazon.com Product Description
ISpider-Man: Mysterio's Menace/I is the first Spider-Man game to be featured on the Game Boy Advance platform. Set in New York, the game lets you assume the role of Spider-Man as you take on supervillain Mysterio and his illusory tricks. You must fight a slew of Mysterio's sinister conspirators and gadgetry to get to the bottom of the plot and free New York from Mysterio's mind-warping grip. Special attacks, multiple power-ups, suit upgrades, and old Spidey standbys (like wall crawling and webslinging) make playing as Spider-Man a fan's dream come true.

2 out of 5 stars The easiest game I have ever played!   February 12, 2006

It's all over in a matter of minutes seriously. The game involves Spidey going out to buy Mary-Jane a fishbowl but he gets caught up in rumble downtown as several of his enemies run riot. It's up to him to sort them out.br /br /In 7 very short levels the game is over. And you'll be left with your jaw hanging open that a game can be so easy. The beat-em-up aspect of the game is pretty lame, all the bad guys look the same, the music is often bland, the level design is dated and the gameplay even less engaging than Spider-Man vs the Kingpin on the Sega Genesis 10 years previous.br /br /If you see this game on sale for a matter of pennies then go for it. Otherwise avoid!br /br /Graphics C br /Sound C br /Gameplay C br /Lasting Appeal D-

I got this game and it was great. But for people that are reading this who have a nintendo ds, listen up. If you put in the ds version of spiderman 2 while game boy advance wirsion of Mysterio's menace is in aswell, you will be able to unlock all of spidey's moves.

5 out of 5 stars Spiderman Mysterio's Menace great game I recommend   June 17, 2004

Vicarious Visions and Activision , the great game companies who made Spiderman for the Playstation and Dreamcast, once again team up to make the successful Spiderman Mysterio's brMenace for the Gameboy Advance. pOut of all the portable consoles in history, the Gameboy Advance, has probably the best lineup of games I've seen, and you can add this game to that list. p------ brStory br------ pPeter Parker (Spiderman) is talking to his great love Mary Jane, when he sees on the tv, that a great number of crimes are being committed in New York. pSpiderman then must try to stop the criminals and try to bring peace and safety to New York City. Spiderman though will have his hands, as he must fight a number of formidabble and familiar enemies that Spiderman fans will recognizne. brThe lineup of enemies include HammerHead, Rhino, Mysterio, and a gang machine gun happy gangsters and deadly ninjas. pEven making the game that more challenging is the fact that in several areas of the game Spiderman must rescue a group of hostages. pGraphics 10: pSpiderman games have come a long way since the first Spiderman came out from Parker Brothers for the Atari Systems. pFrom the Genesis system to Supernes, to Gameboy brColor, to the Gameboy Advance, to the Playstation, each Spiderman has constantly gotten better in the area of graphics. brThe graphics in this game are gorgeous, wonderful 2d and 3d graphics are echoed throughout the game. pRhino, Hammerhead and others look like comic book counterparts. There are really 3 great graphics area in the game, and they are done very well. First is the intro of the game which is excellently done with a nice blend of music. the intro looks extremely cool, because it looks virtually an animation of the comic book. pThe 2nd graphics area is stats screen. The stats screen reveals in what area Spiderman is, how much webbing Spiderman has left, and other details. pThe 3rd area in the game are the mission and intermission screens. These scenes are all 2 dimensionally animated brin true color form and they look gorgeous on the screen. brOverall, I was not only suprised by the great brgraphics for the game, but I was impressed. pSound and Music: 7 pThe sound and music in Spiderman, just like the graphics for the game are extremely good, in fact it was better than I expected!!! pEverything from Spiderman's spider senses to Rhino growl and killer attacks, all come with their individual sounds. pOverall the sound in Spiderman Mysterios Menace is very well done. pThe music is divided into different areas of game: The levels of the game, come with different tunes and soundtracks. pThe stat screen in the game also comes with it's own music. pThe best music in the game, that I loved was the intro at the beginning, it mean it just really cool!! In fact, it had me jazzed up to play the game. p-------------- brControl 7 br------------ pI was extremely satisfied with the controls for this game. pUnlike the Playstation and Dreamcast versions of Spiderman, which can get a bit frustrating the control for Spiderman Mysterio's Menace is virtually perfect. pWow!!! pSpiderman has a variety of moves, combos and brspecial abilities that can you do. pFirst is Spiderman's web slinging. pSimply by tapping the A button twice, Spiderman can swing from building to building with ease. You can also websling and attack enemies at the same time!!! pThis has many advantages of the game, as many enemies are at angles, or high altitudes in the game. pSpiderman's combos, consists of a regular punch, bra superpunch, and a great uppercut. You also have a regular kicking, a sweeping kick and a great jump kick (which can you do as you are webslinging!!!!) pPressing the Start Button reveals the stats screen which reveals, the area Spiderman is , along with his web supply, the areas Spiderman has completed, and the number of hostages brSpiderman has rescued. pOverall, I was very pleased with the controls. Activision and Vicarious Visions did a great job in this area. p----------- brOverall 9 br------------ pI gave Spiderman Mysterio's Menace a 10 because virtually all areas of the game were excellent done. pActivision has continually improved the Spiderman games that they done have done over years. There are also many challenging enemies in the game. I also like the fact, that game companies brincluded many of Spiderman's foes like Hammerhead, Mysterio, and Rhino. pSpiderman Mysterio's Menace is just a great game, and I highly recommend the game to any Spiderman fan.

This game is one of the best I've ever played. The gameplay is great, the graphics are amazing, and it is a game you can just pick up and play. The only thing I disliked was that I beat the whole game (and got all the power-ups) in less than 4 hours.
