glo-sword January 7, 2009 Purchased three glo-swords for Christmas. Already one does not work properly. It will not stay lit. AARRGGHH
Not worth the money January 1, 2009 These swords are not worth the trouble. They are cool to look at but that's about it. You have to keep taking them out of the light saber holder to operate the game (Lightsaber Duels game)and they are heavy. Maybe that's the point -they're supposed to recreate the feel (heft?) of the "real" lightsabers but we felt like it was easier (and more fun) to just play without them. We bought the two pack from Sam's club and it is going back. Also, you should know, they just light up, no sound effects.
THESE DON'T WORK!!! December 30, 2008 These swords are not designed correctly and block the wii sensor making them useless with any wii game. DON'T BUY THESE!
Is NOT compatible with Wii - Infrared (IR) sensor is completely blocked December 29, 2008 The IR port (the part that sends information to the sensor) is completely blocked by the product's design. It does not work with the Nintendo Wii Star Wars game we purchased, nor would it work with ANY game that senses movement of the remote.br /br /I just read in the instructions for the Gamexpert GloSword, "While playing, you can use D pad on the Wii remote control to make menu selections," and more importantly,"If you need to use the on screen cursor then you should remove the Wii remote control from the handle." I assume this means "if you want to wave it around like a light saber and not as a flashlight." There is NOTHING on the outside of the box that indicates it doesn't work, while it does say that it's compatible with the Wii system. It is not.
DO NOT!!! BUY BLOCKS IR REMOTE TO Wii!!! December 26, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FOR Wii!! Will not work with gameplay!!! WARNING!!br /br /One look at these things and I knew they wouldn't work with a Wiimote. Bad design. The sword blocks the IR for your Wiimote. br /br /I agree with above, they make the wiimote unbalanced for play. Avoid this item for gameplay.br /br /On the other hand, they are bright and create a satisfying glow! Good for dueling? I'll let you know how long they last...br /br /WARNING!! DO NOT BUY FOR Wii!! Will not work with gameplay!!! WARNING!!
