1 out of 5 stars please do not buy this!   December 29, 2008
I bought this about a month ago because I desperatley needed a wireless controller for my gcube setup. I have not been this dissapointed in a product from amazon in a very long time. this thing is full of flaws, the biggest being that it eats up batteries even when you dont use it. It ate 3 sets of new batteries when I was only using it about a couple hours a week. the only way to prevent this would be to take out the batteries after each gaming session. the controls are not much better than the power management. the z buttion is sticky to the point where you sometimes need to unplug and plug back in the reciever just to get it to work. the only minor problem with this paperweight is the D pad is too tight and not very springy making it awkward to control. I have used many wireless controls since they became popular and none have come any where near as pathetic and dissapointing as this.

5 out of 5 stars Works great with the WII   October 25, 2008
Bought this for use with a WII, playing Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. It worked perfectly for both; driving is much easier with this controller, and I highly recommend it for anyone playing Mario Kart seriously. br /br /It also worked very well with Super Smash Bros. I found I had more control over my character with this controller.

2 out of 5 stars Not percise enough   October 22, 2008
This would be perfect (a wireless Gamecube controller with rumble) if the analog contol stick were more percise. On some games, my character will be moving when it should be still. I've tried restarting the game (ensuring the analog control stick wasn't being moved while the game started) to no avail. Maybe the controller I got was a lemon, but I'm not satisfied.br /br /Another thing bugs me. When the contoller is turned off, the dongle that attaches to the Wii has a light that will blink until you take the dongle out. This is annoying.

1 out of 5 stars Mine won't connect   September 27, 2008
I received this today and immediately tried it on my Wii. I followed the directions to the letter, but the controller won't connect. The LED light on the receiver flashes continuously (instead of becoming solid), and the controller does not work. I tried changing the batteries I had for brand new ones twice, but to no avail. If anyone has any advice, it would be appreciated...

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Controller!   September 18, 2008
I had low expectations for a 3rd party controller at such an inexpensive price. My research on other wireless controllers had led me to believe that most 3rd party wireless contollers were junk, but I wasn't about to spend one hundred dollars on a used Wavebird.br /br /I purchased this controller to play Virtual Console (The Legend of Zelda)and Gamecube (The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker) games on the Wii. So far, it has done an admirable job. The only time I've tried to use it and it hasn't worked right off the bat was with Mario Kart Wii. I did not troubleshoot to see if I could get this controller to work with that game, so it may or may not work.br /br /Set up was quick and easy. Our power has gone out a few times, and the wireless connection picks back up where it left off.br /br /I have had no problems with the size or layout of the controller. As a gamer who gets anxious during the nerve-wracking portions of a game, I probably press harder than I need to on the control buttons. After several months, this controller has held up well to about 8 hours of play per week.br /br /I highly recommend this controller to Wii owners seeking a wireless controller to play Virtual Console and Gamecube games.
