Normally, Nintendo contract players such as Mario, Pikachu, Link, Donkey Kong, Bowser, and Kirby are generally happy and well-mannered, but in ISuper Smash Bros. Melee/I, the pleasantries get thrown out and the gloves (except for Mario's) come off. This update of the N64 favorite features these and other video game icons in furious, yet utterly absurd fisticuffs that usually make for a smashing good time. Just make sure you have at least one human opponent to pound on. p Starting off with 14 characters (an additional 11 are waiting to be unlocked), the game has a pretty standard premise--let Nintendo's stars beat on each other until the timer runs out. However, a lot of emphasis is put on knocking opponents off ledges while avoiding the same fate. In typical Nintendo manner, there are quite a few power-ups to assist you in the melee. The actual combat isn't as intricate as in other fighting games; however, the ultra-cartoony layout of the many, many arenas sometimes adds a strategic element not usually found in similar titles. p ISuper Smash Bros. Melee/I's strength lays in the mayhem created in four-player fights. The camera does an excellent job of positioning itself so all combatants are constantly visible. Also, IMelee/I sports some of the best visuals seen in a Nintendo product. All the characters are highly detailed, and the movements of each are smoothly infused with personality. Donkey Kong lumbers and Princess Peach fights with grace. p As the multiplayer mode is the key reason for this game's existence, the single-player mode is decidedly weak. The game features an adventure mode that plays somewhat like an old-school, side-scrolling Mario game. Sadly, despite its good looks, its gameplay is rather uninspired. I've had this game for many years now. The gameplay is great, and there's many characters to pick from. The one player mode is a little short though, but the vs. mode is still fun. Overall, this game is great.

As always, Amazon and its sellers come thru effectively. My son loves the game, was in good condition as stated,shipping was fast.I have shopped and purchased on Amazon for many many years and have never had one problem, with neither Amazon or their Sellers.Will continue to shop Amazon when is necessary to purchase games for my youngest son.My oldest son is using Amazon as well, as he finds the prices are better then most name stores and likes how quickly the merchandise gets shipped, with products in condition exactly as stated on the amazon/sellers site. This game that i purchased was trash, i ordered it from the seller and recieved the item quick but when i putit in my console it didnt work. i am severly unhappy with it. i put it into my computer and ran a game cube disk verifier on it and the only data that was on it was the game cube format the game was never on the disk. on top of that it looked liek someone glued the SSBM disk cover on the disk and the disk was is poor condistion like someone put it into a disk doctor backwards, just in horrible terrible condition. but over all i have played the game before and it was alot of fun a good family or friends game
