Product Description
Nintendo's thematic action-adventure sequel to Ocarina of Time takes the series back to its more cartoonish roots. Utilizing a completely new look with cel-shaded graphics, the game casts players in the role of a familiar young boy, who sets out to save his kidnapped sister. Gameplay is vintage Zelda, only that the game's overworld is covered by water. Players have to control the direction of the wind to sail across the ocean and find dungeons, towns, and plenty of secrets. A special Game Boy Advance link-up option lets another player join the quest and give hints and assistance via the handheld.Legend has it that whenever evil has appeared, a hero named Link has risen to defeat it...

5 out of 5 stars The best zelda ever   March 18, 2008
This game is awesome, and I reccomend it to anyone. The main story is fairly easy making it more accesable to new or casual gamers ,but some of the extras can get very hard, making it suitable for hard-core gamers. So it has its bad parts, such as sneaking into that fort to rescue your sister at the beginning of the game, but the game's goods make up for the bads. The game has challenging, but fun, puzzles all the way through it. The sword fighting mechanics are fun so you never really want to avoid an enemy. Using items such as a bow and arrow and aiming from far range are really fun. Many of the items that you aquire make you want to use them over and over again. The cooky character animations are great and bring a lot of feeling to the game. Ship sailing, although very fun at the beginning, can just make you want to get there by the end of the game. Many times you may get stuck, but it really isn't hard to get past these parts if you sit down and think. I recommend a strategy guide for this game as it will help you through the tougher parts, but you don't need it. Overall this is a great game and you should buy it.

4 out of 5 stars The legend of Zelda continues with the Wind Waker   February 1, 2008

I have been an avid player of Zelda games since childhood. In this game Hyrule is a lost and forgotton kingdom and begins at your home... an island in a world covered with water. You, of course, must become the hero in times of peril. Your story begins when your sister is kidnapped on your birthday. You will learn how to command "the power of the winds" and obtain the triforce of courage to save your sister and return her home. On your journey you will seek sunken treasures, solve puzzles, navigate mazes, fight sea monstors, Gannon's minions, and finally Gannon himself. br /br /I give this game:br /br /4 stars for graphics. The cartoon charactors faces show cute animated emotions.br /br /4 stars for challenge. Finding hidden treasures is very challenging, there are so many worlds you will want to take your time and check out everything. (It will take forever to backtrack.)br /br /3 stars for navigation. During boss fights I found this game hard to navigate in the 3d world. It felt like I had one of my eyes closed during the fights. If you run to evade the enemy or neglect to press the aim button you can easily loose track of your position.br /
