4 out of 5 stars RED ALERT BEFORE PURCHASE*********   October 18, 2008

You can not control any one member of the defense, which makes this game more akin to the old school games where one person plays as mario and one person plays as luigi. It is very frustrating to play because while on defense my players seem to make more mistakes than the computer ever does. For example, I never seem to be able to just run down the field and have opposing players make stupid decisions and avoid my player. Yet to the computer it happens all the time. I am serious. Imagine that you are playing a video game and it is late into the fourth quarter of a soccer game called pro evolution soccer that you just bought, and the opposing team has the ball. And you're watching. And there's nothing you can do. And you feel like you're watching the game on tv. And you think that if you were watching it on tv you'd wish it were a video game so you can play it. But this IS a video game so WHY AREN'T YOU PLAYING?!?!?! The music is also super annoying.br /But dig how much I enjoyed the passing controls. I give it a 72.5%, rounded up to a 4 stars.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Soccer Game   September 7, 2008

This soccer game is the best of all!br /You can use your Wii remote to control which person you want him to past. You can shake your Nunchuk to shoot but you cannot control to angle and power. Although you cannot control the angle and power, but it will be better than you thought.br /This game can let you to make your own team but you cannot create your own team's name. You cannot choose which person you want him to join your team. You can only the person from the team you've defeated or you've been defeated by them. The game is not as detail as the Winning Eleven.br /You also play online!br /It's a fantastic game!br /br /Pros.:br /You can control which person you want to passbr /You can play onlinebr /br /Cons.:br /You cannot control the angle and power when shooting

5 out of 5 stars Best soccer game yet   August 5, 2008

I recently got this, having high expectations and I was pleased with the result. Here are some facts on this.br /+ great graphicsbr /+ Fun gameplaybr /+ Easy to get used tobr /+ online play makes it long lastingbr /+ lots of modes to playbr /+ not too addictingbr /+ easy controlsbr /- get bored after the 1st hourbr / That is all the negative points. Anyway, for soccer fans, this game is a must and this would be a better choice than the fifa series in my opinion. The motion controls are great and makes the wii experience on this the best. I would really recommend this for someone who is looking for a wii game that is not just sitting and moving fingers. I don't know why it's not on the first bestselling list though.

4 out of 5 stars US Teams Left Out   July 30, 2008
2 out of 2 found this review helpful

Being an American, it irked me that the US National Team has fake names, and that there was no Major League Soccer.br /br /Great control scheme. No other game makes it easier to play through-balls, switch the point of attack, play balls into space, perform give-and-go, run crossing patterns, etc. I've never had an easier time getting players to perform the desired off-the-ball movement. On defense, you can mark players, including double teams.br /br /Things that annoyed on defense:br /br /* Defending highly rated attacking players needs to be micromanaged, even if you assign double teams. Otherwise, once the attacking player gains possession of the ball, he will dribble circles around your computer controlled defenders.br /br /* The computer does a lousy job of defending attacking players making runs off the ball. Always seems to be a few steps behind, with poor positioning.br /br /* Computer controlled defenders will sometimes do nothing when balls are played into space, at least until an attacking player gains possession.br /
